This special experience is the perfect way for your child to get up close and personal with one of our beautiful horses. We take things at their pace—starting with plenty of time to say hello, give some pats, maybe even do a little brushing. Our friendly guides will tailor the experience to suit your little one’s comfort level, making sure they feel safe and confident every step of the way.
Once they’ve had a chance to bond with their horse, our guides will gently help them into the saddle for a 15-minute led ride. With a dedicated 1:1 guide by their side the entire time, they’ll be fully supported while you walk alongside, capturing the moment with as many photos as you like!
Who Can Join a Led Ride?
These gentle rides are perfect for:
- Children over 3 years old who are ready for their first riding experience
- Adults who feel nervous and just want to ease into horse riding
- Riders with disabilities who need extra support in a calm, controlled setting
For safety, we ask that a parent or guardian walks alongside any child under 4 years old during the ride.

The Family Ride
Some of life’s best moments come from shared adventures, and we’ve designed a ride that lets the whole family experience the magic together. Our 2-Hour Session was created so adults can ride alongside little ones, making memories that will last a lifetime.
This experience begins with a friendly, hands-on introduction where our guides will walk you through everything you need to know. After a safety briefing and some riding instructions covering the basics of ‘how to ride’, we’ll match you with the perfect horse and help each rider get comfortable in the saddle. Then, before heading out, you’ll get some one-on-one practice time in a secure yard to make sure you feel confident and in control.
Once you’re ready, we’ll set off on a gentle, walking-only trail ride, perfect for young riders, beginners, or anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing ride. You’ll spend about 60 minutes in the saddle, soaking in the fresh air and enjoying the experience at an easygoing pace.
FAQ: Who Can Join the 2-Hour Session?
Everyone! Our friendly, experienced guides are all certified to work with children, so if you’d like to take a breather while the little ones ride, we’ve got it covered. But don’t worry—this ride isn’t just for kids! Plenty of adults join in for a relaxed, no-pressure ride, whether they have kids with them or not.

Our family enjoyed horse riding, marshmallow roasting, taking in the wildlife and cows roaming, slowing down and 4WDing on the tracks.
I did the 3 day cattle muster and loved it! They take you all over the property and you get to ride and find cattle on all sorts of terrain.
The campsites were well-maintained and offered plenty of privacy. I loved hiking the nearby trails and enjoying the peace of nature.
