Massive Easter Egg Hunt 2024
Giant Easter Egg Hunt for a Worthy Cause
What better way to celebrate Easter than a good old Easter Egg Hunt, searching for goodies left by the Easter Bunny. This year we’ve hatched a plan to make your long weekend even more egg-citing ! (ha … ha …. haa….). What makes this event even more special is that 100% of the proceeds collected for the Egg Hunt will go to charity.
WHEN?
The Easter Bunny has told us he will be sprinkling some chocolatey fun through the paddocks at Chapman Valley on the morning of Easter Sunday (31st of March) Meet us at the office car park at 8 AM (no earlier please or the Easter Bunny might still be working!). The Egg Hunt is open to 16-year-olds and under.
HOW DOES THE EGG HUNT WORK?
Before your little ones arrive on the morning of the hunt, the Easter Bunny will scatter THOUSANDS of Easter Eggs around the hunting area. We will then divide the group into age ranges to make sure things are fair, with bigger toddler-friendly eggs for the younger kids and smaller harder-to-find eggs for the older hunters. When we say “Go!” everyone runs out and searches for the eggs hidden in amongst the obstacles. The Easter Egg Hunt is open to kids 16 years and under.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
We simply ask for a donation to one of the charities we’ve selected to participate. Corporate or piggy bank-sized, large or small, any donation is greatly appreciated! We will have two collection tins, one for Red Nose Australia (raising awareness for infant loss) and another for Rural Aid Australia (offering support to farmers through the tough times). Bookings are appreciated and can be made online to save rummaging around on Easter morning or can be made at the gate. Once booked online simply come and get their name checked off in the morning, then get ready to hunt!
HOW MUCH DOES THE CHARITY GET OF MY DONATION?
Every single penny. We’re footing the bill for the Easter Eggs, we won’t deduct any running costs or fees or anything silly like that. Please note donations are non-refundable once processed.
WHAT DOES CHAPMAN VALLEY GET OUT OF IT?
Warm gooey feelings as we see the donations rolling through to our favorite charities. Seriously though, we take nothing out of your donation for running the event.
HOW DO I GET A RECEIPT?
This year you’ll be donating directly to the charities, so you’ll receive a receipt from them at the time of your donation.
Why these Charities?
Both of these charities are close to the Chapman family’s heart and we appreciate your help raising funds for them to continue their excellent work.
Rural Aid has helped us out a lot over the years. Through the drought they gave us VISA gift vouchers to put towards anything that we needed help with. They were used for buying hay for the cattle & horses, paying fuel bills, putting food on the table. Then through the bushfires, they came again. And the floods … 2021 AND 2022. They’re always there helping out, offering support to anyone who needs it.
On Boxing Day 2017, close friends of ours awoke to find that their beautiful son Leo had unexpectedly passed away during the night. A perfectly happy, healthy boy was taken far too soon. Red Nose helps to offer support to grieving families after the loss of an infant, and fund research to find the cause for these terrible and unexpected losses.
So, whether you’re looking for a simple way to celebrate the Easter holiday with your family or looking for an excuse to dress up your kiddies with fluffy bunny ears or pastel tutus, you’ve come to the right place! Chapman Valley has lots of outdoor activities for both the young and young at heart!
So don’t keep the Easter Bunny waiting, hop on over and join the fun.
