“Chapman Valley” is a family owned Horse and Cattle property just 2 hours north-west of Sydney, and 1 hour from Pokolbin (Hunter Valley). Offering secluded bush campsites with no size restrictions.
Private Bush Campsite
$40 per site, per night

Each campsite is completely private and secluded, giving you the feeling that you’re the only person on the property – with no other campers in sight! There are no amenities in the bush campsites so you’ll either need to bring your own camping toilet and shower or it’s a short drive back to the amenities block at home base.
2WD and 4WD access options available, with caravan/camper trailer access options also available.
Semi-Private Bush Campsite
$40 per site, per night

Very similar to our super popular ‘Private Bush Campsites’, still quiet and gloriously huge, but classed differently as you may be able to see the occasional glimpse of where other campers will be set-up way over yonder (as opposed to the ‘private’ sites that are more tucked away). Still tonnes of space between sites and much different to the Communal area.
2WD and 4WD access options available, with caravan/camper trailer access options.
Site price of $40/night includes up to 2 adults and 2 children.
Additional adults (17yo+) = $15pp/night
Additional children (4-16yo) = $5pp/night
Infants/Toddlers (0-3yo) = FREE
Shared Communal Campsite
$40 per site, per night

A large, flat communal camping area within easy walking distance to the toilet and shower block. The communal area is massive, and has no size restrictions, so you can fit as many friends and vehicles in your group as you like, without encroaching on anyone else’s space.
Easy access for all vehicle types, including caravans of all shapes and sizes.
Australia’s Best Horse Riding
We run Horse Rides (trail rides) for every level of experience, and every age (over 3 years). Everything from 1 hour, 2hours, Half Day and Full Day rides! Our rides book out quickly though, so make sure you book your Horse Ride when you reserve your campsite! Checkout our Horse Riding Packages and Prices for full information on rides. Dog Friendly Campsites
Don’t want to leave Fluffy at home whilst you go out enjoy yourself? No worries! Man’s best friend is most welcome to come along – at no extra cost!
Mountain Biking, 4WD and Walking Tracks
More than 120kms of Bush tracks to explore on foot, mountain bike or in your 4WD! We provide you with a map of the property on your arrival, and you can take it from there. Our trails are colour-coded and signposted to make them easy to find your way around.
Day Passes available (under ‘Extras’ in the booking system) for single day visits.
Things To Know
Our private “out the back” bush campsites have no facilities, so you will want to bring everything with you – and take everything with you. This includes cooking facilities, camping toilet, and bathing set-up. Or, you’re welcome to drive back to the home-base to use the amenities (5-10min depending on your campsite).
ALTERNATIVELY – you are most welcome to camp at our base camp in a large shared camping area. With two large flat paddocks with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. You’re just a short walk from our toilets and showers.

Both camping options require campers to BYO drinking and dish-washing water, and rubbish must be taken home with you as there are no bin services.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can we bring bikes?
Pushbikes, yes. Motorbikes, no.
Riders must wear an Australian Standards approved helmet at all times whilst riding their pushbikes.
If you do come across the horses on your adventures, just stop and wait for them to ride past
Can I bring my dog, and do they need to be on a leash?
Your dog is most welcome to join you on your camping trip. We ask that dogs are on a leash around the home base and in the Communal area, however you’re welcome to have them off leash at your campsite (if you’re camping in a private Bush Campsite). Please do not let them run up to our horse rides as they pass, chase the cattle or run into other campsites.
Are there rivers/anywhere to swim on the property?
No; there are no large waterways on the property. There are dams and a small sand-bottom creek suitable for pets to swim, but are not suitable for two-legged swimmers.
What are check-in/check-out times?
You are welcome to check-in anytime you like, even if it’s 4am to midnight! We send directions to your email the week before your camping trip with instructions on how to sign-in, and directions to your campsite. This is great for those wanting to come up after work on Friday, and there’s no need to worry about missing the office opening hours.
Check-out is anytime before dark on the day of your departure … no need to hurry to leave!
How can my friends book into the same campsite as me?
For group bookings, we ask for only one booking to be made for the whole group please, otherwise your friends may be sent to a different part of the property if they book separately. If you’ve already made a booking and have friends who would like to join, simply contact us with the changes you’d like to make, and we will adjust your booking accordingly.
Not sure how many people will be coming? Book for those you know will definitely be coming in order to secure the campsite, and then contact us closer to the date to finalize numbers. You can also add a note in your booking that you’re expecting more people. Campsites are assigned a week prior to check-in, so please try to ensure numbers are reasonably close to accurate so we can ensure you’re assigned with a site large enough to accommodate your group.
